This might sound a little silly and maybe it's sorta overkilling, but
think again. Suppose you want to move some text into another page, but
cutting would also remove that convenient link (WikiWord) you are
about to follow. Now you have two options - copy instead, follow link,
paste, go back and delete, or if you're tree isn't too complicated cut

WikidPad seems to be unable to modify the file
"/home/toscalix/.WikidPadGloba ls/AppLock.lock" (if it exists) or to
create it. Ensure that the access rights for file and directory are set
properly.
It may help if you delete the file (if it exists) while WikidPad is NOT
running.

Hi,
I was using wikipad on Ubuntu 8.04 when, due to a system crash, I had to
reboot. Now my wikipad shows this error:
Error starting wikidPad. [Errno 13] Permiso
denegado: '/home/toscalix/.WikidPadGloba ls/AppLock.lock'.
Permiso denegado = denied access in spanish

If you do decide on using the Tags plugin (
[link]), and replace
[category:software] with [tag:software] , then opening page TagSoftware will
dynamically list all pages tagged with 'software' - this is in addition to
generating such a list in any given page using the same plugin, as noted by

You can do this using the Tags plugin, place a tag with "software" in
each article, say [tag:software], and then generate a 'Page by Tags"
at the place where you want all the references to appear. This is
static so you will have to re-generate whenever you make a new tag.

Hello all,
Many of the articles within my wikidpad installation have categories
and todo entries in them. Is there a way that I can make a link in an
article to an entire category? In other words, have a line like this:
... for more articles on this, see [category: software].
where the [...] turns into a link to a listing showing all article

I noticed somewhere people posted info or intent to build ubuntu
package for wikidpad. Do someone know? I would love it to have it on
my ubuntu box.

If not, is it possible to build a wikidpad package for ubuntu, and
openSuse? - I would love to try it, but definately need your help! If

Hi!

When I change levels of headings (e g. by deleting a "+"), the
document structure is not updated any more in my wikidPad 1.9beta18.
One or two betas ago this used to work.

Thank you for your bug report.
The next 1.8rc will contain a change which may help (I can't test this
without a Mac)
This error is probably a consequence of the above one.
