Google API features many useful tools for web masters and web application developers alike.

Oneof them is Google Maps ? an excellent framework provided by Google forfree (presently Google Maps do not even include advertising ? see Google API Terms of use).

Generating the API Key

Touse Google Maps API, you have to generate a unique API key which wouldwork only for the domain and the directory it has been generated for.

Ifyou try to use this key on some other domain the map will not work andthe page will display a JavaScript warning to let you know that the APIkey and the domain do not match.

This however should not be a problem since number of the API Keys is presently unlimited.
