Subject: WCRC SJSU Tourney and 2007-2008 Season Results!
Hi All,

The results from the San Jose tourney, and the 2007-2008 season, are on
the WCRC web site:
    http://www.WCRCRacquetball.org

Thank you everyone for a wonderful season, new players, and lots of
excitement and drama!

The WCRC in Northern California has continue to grow, with significant
players from new schools.  And, we had our second WCRC tourney in
Southern California!  Read about all of our tourneys on the web site:
    http://www.WCRCRacquetball.org

There is plenty of racquetball happening throughout the state, and next
season is going to be even more exciting!

Hey John,
Thanks for doing these writeups.  Did you forward to Brian too?

Also, I wanted to ask why Sue scores points in Men II and not in Women?
I think it would be worthwhile to have a clear policy, as that has been
the determining factor in tournament (and now season) outcomes.

At UCD, omitting Sue from the results and awarding Danielle 1st
place points in women gave UCSC the season lead.

At SJSU, omitting Sue from the results (and promoting all of
the other women's places) gave the Berkeley women an
extra 100 points to their point total, which was more than
the point difference in the final season standings.

Is she dropped because she is much stronger than the other
players?  On the men's side, Sac State lost 148 points
at SJSU and 166 points at UCD because David and Ismael
were thrashing everyone in sight.

I think it is great to have the strong players, but we need to
think carefully about how any modifications we make
affect the team competitions.

Matt
