Subject: Villamartin, Costa Blanca
It appears that my partner has won a (genuine) free week's accommodation in Villamartin, Costa Blanca to be taken between October this year and March 2009. A quick look at the place suggests that it is a golf/sun/beach/bar resort not far from Torrevieja. This doesn't match closely (if at all) with our preferred holiday preferences of countryside and villages/museums and cities/restaurants. But it seems churlish (even rude) to decline a prize won at her place of work. This is not a part of Spain I know anything about. Before I go and buy a guide book and do the normal web research, is there anyone on the group who could make recommendations as to things we might like to do/see/visit in that area?
