This group is basically a major 'spring cleaning' of one of the Net's
oldest e-mail lists dedicated to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.

The Net being what it is, the old list became cluttered with outdated
e-mail address and long absent members, so I felt it would be a good
idea to give the list a fresh start, a new name (The Prancing Pony),
and a new host (Google's outstanding 'Groups' feature).

So, welcome one and all to the new (yet old) Tolkien List at The
Prancing Pony.
