For the cleaning of mold stains you can mix a quarter teaspoon of color safe bleach and a cup of hydrogen peroxide. Using a cloth, lightly rub the mould stain with this solution and then wash the stain with warm water. Leave to dry for the several minutes.

 

Consider making your own cleaning products also for general cleaning purpose before going to the store and wasting money on expensive items. You can make large amounts and store them for the next several  times.

To make an orange, lemon or lavender smelling bathroom or kitchen cleaner, add two teaspoons of borax, 10 drops of orange, lemon or lavender essential oil to two cups of water. Store the mix in an empty jug or a spray bottle and use it to clean your sink.

Clean your carpets with a homemade cleaner as well. Mix two cups baking soda, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 1 tablespoon cloves and 5 crushed bay leaves. Store the mixture in a medium size can and sprinkle it on the carpet. Let it stand for a few hours and then vacuum.

1/4 cup distilled white vinegar and 1 gallon of warm water solution will make excellent cleaning work for your hard wood floor. It remains only mop  floors with it and after rinse with warm water.

For cleaning your drains, mix 1 cup of hot water, 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/8 cup common mayonnaise and pour in the drain. Leave it for ½-1 hour and then you have to rinse drain properly with hot water.


Polishing your furniture might be also eco-friendly if you spray it such home-making mixture as 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon white vinegar and 4 cups water. You need wipe it after with cotton cloth.

And the winner of home-making cleaners is the all-purpose solution. For it you have to have 1/2 pint rubbing alcohol, 1/4 cup ammonia, 1 teaspoon laundry detergent, and 1 quarts of water you have always.

 

Usually, excluding situations that do require the use of chemical cleaners are fireplaces. All that remains is to choose the safest method. Oven cleaner will take off that old baked on soot (the usual method is the use of harsh acids). Spray this stone place and leave for 10 to 15 min. Test it and then see if it’s ready to be wiped off. You might leave it a little bit longer if it’s necessary. Wipe it off and wash properly down with foam and hot water and allow to dry.

 

At the end is one very important advice in household cleaning! Remember it forever! Never (!) mix ammonia, vinegar, rust remover or lye with a dishwasher detergent, chlorine bleach, toilet-bowl or oven cleaners!  Deadly dangerous gas can be created by this combination!
