This presentation will cover CSS 2.1 as (mostly) implemented in the following modern browsers:

• Firefox 3.X
• Safari 3.X
• IE7

A particular emphasis will be placed on CSS selectors - how selectors really work and how CSS 2 selectors can be leveraged to reduce the amount of JavaScript required in your web pages. Additionally, new CSS 2 properties will be discussed and demonstrated.

Bill Edney has been writing computer software since 1982, object-oriented programming since 1987 and Web programming since 1997. He has made client-side Web technologies such as JavaScript & CSS his specialty, although when he does have to do server-side coding, Rails is his tool of choice.

After the meeting, several of us usually head to Uno's for some food and post-meeting socializing.

Third floor - training room (just off elevator)

Note that this is the right-most/east-most building ofthe three glass buildings, NOT the one with the RGA sign.
