I'm working with a SOAP service that requires maintaining session
across API calls. I've attempted to follow a couple examples,
specifically the one referring to accessing salesforce without

Please check the client skelton file (named AXLAPIClient.rb or
something) generated by wsdl2ruby.rb. 'getPhone' part in the file
should have an example code of comment for invoking getPhone method.
I think that you need to pass an some object to getPhone like;

You need to configure httpd for running CGI script first. After that,
try to execute following ruby program from command line.
You should get above output if you've successfully set up a httpd + CGI.

I'm trying to use wsdl2ruby to access a cmdb via webservice, but I

I'm trying to use soap4r to talk to a Cisco Call Manager through the
AXL interface (trying to configure a device through SOAP calls).
Cisco publishes WSDL, I used the AXIS version and wsdl2ruby.rb to
generate the driver.

In case of standalone i have written like this and it works fine and
now in live
i need just to replace standalone with cgi.
The written for stand alone looks like this

Hi,
Have you checked sample/basic/calc/server.cgi and client.rb in the same
dir? Points are;
1. use the same namespace (urn:ruby:test1 for your example) at server
side and client side.
2. let the client use the correct URL of the CGI
([link] for example). It's good to check

You need to have unqualified elements (level, string), right? I mean
you want to get <level/> without default ns definition (no xmlns=... in
XML) instead of <datasrv:level/>.
Can you show me a full working code? With the definition
client.add_method('SendLogStri ng', 'level', 'string')
