The syntax format is thus in general:
Character 'G'
followed by a 'digit'
followed by a 'digit'

Real life cnc was a bit more complicated than that for me. I know of
no systems that use only '
G' codes because without parameters and macros for aperture definition
etc you have a very primitive system. I used to translate AutoCad dxf
to Gerber RS-274X format years ago. There is no 'standard' cnc that is
accepted universally but Gerber used to be the one most systems could
emulate. Gerber used to put out a publication 414-100-014 they are in
South Windsor, CT (800)243-7270 or at least that number used to be
good. I don't have any old files or I would print the codes here but
there are not that many really...I found the very document on the
internet http://gerbv.sourceforge.net/docs/rs274xrevd_e.pdf
