Hi, my name is Dr. Steve Johnson.  I have been reading your posts
for the past couple of months and I am impressed and touched by your
messages and stories, the main reason being that I too am a moderate
to severe rosacea sufferer, with occular involvement.  I know how it
feels to have this disease on a day to day basis as I have been
dealing with it for over twenty years.

Recently, I contacted Dr. Soldo via e-mail to ask him about patient
referrals and having IPL treatment myelf, especially since I treat a
lot of rosacea patients here in East Tennessee.  Dr. Soldo not only
responded to my e-mail but invited me out to Arizona and stated that
he would teach me IPL on the Lumenis One and also give me a
treatment while I was there.  So off I went!

Dr. Soldo is truly one of the most wise and knowledgable physicians
I have ever met.  He has a true passion for rosacea and treats his
patients like family.  We saw patients from all over the U.S. and
Canada while I was there for about three days.  What a learning
experience it was.

Dr. Soldo uses the Lum. One like a well-tuned piano with a
professional at the key-board.  He does ALL treatments himself and
Suzie and Jamie assist in patient care and comfort.  Each treatment
is individualized and well thought out before, during and after the
patient leaves.  This is where skill, knowledge and intuitiveness
come into play together.

I would like to thank Dr. Soldo publicly for his time, effort and
kindness in teaching me IPL.  Also I would like to let you all know
that I would like to participate on this board and answer any
questions that I can.  Rosacea IS my passion as I go to sleep
thinking about it and wake up thinking about it.  I will also be
getting a Lumenis One, hopefully within a month for any of you brave
souls who want treatments.  Dr. Soldo and I are collabarating on an
anti-flushing protocol, amongst other exciting things to follow.
