  <title type="text">Adney Gap Nighthawk Watch, September 5</title>

  I watched with my wife Elizabeth and with Jenny Chapman. We saw a grand &lt;br&gt; total of 36 birds, assuming none were counted twice. Several flying quite &lt;br&gt; low over the pasture, and at least one, maybe two, that landed on the &lt;br&gt; pasture and stayed on the ground for three or four minutes before taking &lt;br&gt; off again.

This gives us a late egg date of the 27th; and &lt;br&gt; possibly as late as the 30th if they hatched today.
