Birded northern Botetourt County this a.m., including the Fincastle,
Kyles Mills, & Owens areas; Gala wetland; & Garden Mtn. Rd. The
highlight was 4 Great Egrets at the Gala wetland. We also had a juv.
Great Blue Heron there. 51 species in all. To bad no one is allowed
the wetland - if we could walk through it - we would be able to find
so many more march species!
