You got a lot done. I didn't do much sewing over the weekend since our
daughter and family were here. Hadn't seen them for 10 months. DGD is such
a joy at nearly 3. It took me a couple days to get back into the swing but

Well, while I was without a computer I did a bunch of fabric fondling and
cutting. I really like all the scrappy quilts done by Bonnie Hunter at
[link] .And I like her system of cutting strips and pieces to
have them ready to go, and having stacks of things ready to sew. She has

What is Kate G's address?
And, you can participate when you want, on the level you want. I know
from working on them, delivering two, and receiving one, that a HUG
just gives you "warm fuzzies" even making a block to send off to be
included with other blocks.

I googled to find out more, I read in Jan Krentz's blog that just in
August she had been inducted to the quilters hall of fame, a big honour
as she is only the 38th member in nearly 30 years, how fitting that she
was recognised in such a timely fashion.

yep, i used a library in phx (next to a big mall) when there.
tho i did have to go on a list and then return the next day to use it.
they had about a dozen to use so booking was essential.
however....
walking knowingly into the sheraton hotel, i wander'd over to the main lobby
seating area, watching tv for a bit.

Thank you, Sandy. Atta girl. I tried to find a picture online but
couldn't. If I do say so myself, you knew I would, my quilt is heaps
prettier than the one in McCall's. I used Timeless Treasures blueberries
for the dark fabric and an ivory Fairy Frost for the lighter fabric. They

Years ago I went to the DAR museum in Washington and saw some of their
fabulous quilts on display. They have a great many Baltimore album
quilts that are exquisite.
It's great to know that they'll be seen by a larger (and extremely
appreciative!) audience.
