Subject: Coffin Lock Position
After 5 years of corporate, it's time to dust off my tools and build a set.

In stock platform construction, what's the standard for positioning coffin
locks? 2' on center from each corner?

Thanks. :)

The "toggles" of a 4x8 platform can either go every 2' or every 32".
Either way works, but as you said, if you put them every 2', you can't
put in coffin locks.  This is the way my school does them, and they
work fine.

At the risk of starting a fight, I haven't used coffin locks in ages-
preferring Norse latches because they are easier to install and
cheaper.  Plus the latch pulls straight back eliminating sideways
slippage.
