Python Ireland Tshirt ideas
Original suggestion from Mick:

"Ok, after a few pints we're discussing the idea of a new tshirt.
Current thinking is a few lines of nerdy python with an Irish flavour.

The floor is open :)"

Ideas so far:
          Beautiful is better than ugly.
Explicit is better than implicit, and that's fecking right!
Simple is better than complex, like a Dublin street map.
          Complex is better than complicated.
          Flat is better than nested.
          Sparse is better than dense.
Readability counts, just look at Finnegan's Wake.
Special cases aren't special enough to break the rules.
          Although practicality beats purity.
          Errors should never pass silently.
Errors should never pass silently, they should bitch and complain all the way down. [Editor's note: maybe the word bitch is not PC]
          Unless explicitly silenced.
In the face of ambiguity, refuse the temptation to guess.
There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it.
Although that way may not be obvious at first unless you're Irish.
          Now is better than never.
Although never is often better than *right* now.
If the implementation is hard to explain, it's a bad idea.
If the implementation can't be explained over a pint, it's a bad idea.
If the implementation is easy to explain, it may be a good idea.
Drinking Guiness is one honking great idea -- let's do more of that!   By Rory (MickT and AlanK)

  • a grinning cartoon snake, a spinning coffin with the phrase. st. patrick would be spinning
          python ireland

simple, few words, nerds will get it. (moylan)
  • I (shamrock pic) Python Ireland (NeilT)
  • Does anyone here speak python?
    SSSSsssssSsSSSsssss?
No, I meant the programming language
(From my friend in FB, Peter Scott, who pulled it off bash.org)

*groan, good one, Alan. I was not sure of stereotyping Irish and drink
(again), especially if we are going to give some away in pycon.

But I like the joint Aoife and Alan's idea. We can have the "Python Ireland:
Global Interpreter is now Locked" in the front of the t-shirt, and have
"We'll have to make sure these t-shirts threads don't unravel" on the back

And since the Global Interpreter is now Locked, we'll have to make
sure that these t-shirts threads don't unravel.

Too big is better than too small, IMHO.

Leveraging dynamic paradigms since the synergies of 1985.
Did you just lose the game?
