Normally, I'd do the legwork myself, but the traffic stats BigE put up appear to be down at the moment. Here's what I propose...
At the moment, discussions in the channel are mostly (if not all) spontaneous, which is fine. However, it seems that this causes them to be infrequent. Sometimes simply having a date and time to put on your calendar is inclination enough to be present. That said, I'd like you to consider the possibility of having predetermined dates, times, topics, and possibly moderators for discussions. Planning this way could make the discussion open to as many people as possible, as well as give us a starting point for what to discuss.
So, consider the days and times during the average week when you're most likely to be able to attend and what topics you might like to moderate discussion for. Post them as a response to this message. We'll try to find the day and time that's best for as many people as possible and begin constructing a schedule of topics and moderators. Here's to hoping this proves to be a fruitful effort.

Well, the stats are back up... but you won't get a daily report out of them. I'm active mainly on weekdays during work hours (8am - 5pm CST) and sometimes at nights when I'm at home.
As far as topics for discussion... I'm open to anything. I rather like OO discussions though, I'm still learning more and more about OO every day, but I always like to hear others opinions and ideas.

After reviewing the discussion posts and the channel stats, I think 3-5 PM CST on Fridays would be best. We'll try to shoot to have a discussion every week during that time. Davey will start us off this week by talking about the Standard PHP Library (SPL). Hope to see you there!
I am planning on going through the conversation and chunking it, and taking out the useless IRC junk and phlegm that comes with and IRC conversation. This should [hopefully] make it easier to read and follow in future readings. I will include all questions relating to each chunk directly below it.
I wont be able to get to it until next week - but I certainly will, as I'm quite interested.
