As long as there is some kind of organized communication, wiki or forum,
which people are comfortable using it will do it, for me it really doesn't
matter but mailing is out of the question!
Havn't used SF for any projects but it seems as good as any.
I didn't vote but I think this will be a nice project and will join and

To that end SFs trackers are far better then anything Google has in
place. SF seems to be the de-facto choice unless someone wants to
throw Trigris into the mix (I hosted a project there a loooong time
ago, didn't care for their setup, maybe it's changed).

I dont care where its hosted, although SF is good seeing alot of us
would use the it, and SF has the resources :P.
All i think we really need is a FORUM to communicate.
Ive used emails (last contract over 100 emails sent - insant)
Wiki (never been a big fan, plus anyone can edit it)
Forum (you can start alot of threads easy as make them private aswell

SVN is certainly my vote as well. I'm of neutral opinion of where we
host provided it has some sort of communication and task/bug system.

I use Google Code for some projects and find it young (in features
compared to something like SF) but sufficient. I just kinda like
Google too ;)

Sourceforge would be alright with me. I would use Google Code, just to
keep it all tidy in one place. I would prefer SVN, after having to work
with CVS in PEAR. Not sure how Google Code actually is. Either way, SVN
would be my way of choice.

I've used SourceForge in the past for projects and I think it would be
adequate for our needs. We could use their forums for communication so
as now to clutter the existing group with related e-mails. I prefer
SVN, as far as version control is concerned, and they have that
available as well as integrating bug tracking. They've got my vote.

The votes are in and it looks like the web-based project management app
is the winner! I think before we get into discussing functionality and
drafting some sort of project specification we should briefly address
the practicals... where/how should development take place?
We could try to get a sourcefore or codeplex account, or does someone

I got another vote in the channel today for project management system.
Anyway, if there's no complaints then I'll close the voting after
Sunday, Dec 10. That will have allowed a week for discussion and
voting.
-Tim
