Subject: Wild and unowned animals continue to be unprotected RE: Bill.
Well the Conservatives (and Liberals) voted as expected and only the
abusers of 'owned' animals can have repercussions as per the new Bill
just passed regarding animal cruelty. The rally I attended in Ottawa,
and all the letters were obviously ignored.

In my opinion, the Canadian government is truly horrendous in their
treatment of animals...WAY behind all the countries of the EU and even
countries like Malaysia! It is truly disgusting... look at what they
do to seals, leaving carcasses to rot at the ice (not eaten for meat
eaters arguments) so people in China can have seal skin 'wallets'  or
whatnot. I am ashamed to be Canadian today. I am really stugggling
(again) on the whole animal cruelty front. If anyone has any
suggestions before I risk losing my mind on this again feel free :(
