If tending a garden or completing tax returns were single, stand-alone
TASKS, then a new feature like this would probably work out well.
However, since gardening and taxes are really PROJECTS in themselves,
both Gerald's taxes and mikemac's garden might be better served with
this other previously submitted suggestion for '"New From Template"

I have needed to do this before too, and I didn't know that multi-
select would apply an "all" option. Great to know! Thanks Kudos for
pointing it out!

However, I would like to see this taken yet one step further. The
conflict resolution dialog already color codes (or is it bold?) which
version has the most recent date/time modified, so the logic is

I too prefer that the lead time adjust, leaving the start/due dates
alone. Thanks Andrey!

"Start Date without Due Date" will allow for easier implementation of
"ticklers" -- awesome!

+1!
That sounds like a great idea... while I don't do a lot of fertilizing,
there are a couple of instances were this would come in handy for me:
a) property taxes: at least where I live they are due twice a year, but
not 6 months apart. That means I currently need two yearly recurring
tasks, rather than one, with the correct months marked.

Hi Chris,

I can answer this one, as I already bothered Andrey with it a while
back (after forgetting about the feature)..

You can select as many items as you want in the list - then right
click to see the multi-select command! ;-)

To-Do List gets messed up

I have noticed that sometimes when I check an item as done on my To-Do
list (in the desktop client, version 2.0.1) some contexts disappear. I
don't know how to explain it, other than that. I have my Filter set to
"!Work Actions", which includes every context associated with work. I
had maybe 18 tasks listed in my To-Do. I marked one of them as

Actually, what you are describing is something I have long sought.
It seems less of an issue to me when using the "Closed List" method, because I am not assigning things days in advance. I am deciding today what will go on the Closed List for tomorrow, and not making any decisions about what happens after that. Because new work may arrive, conditions may change, etc., I don't want to "close" lists more than a day ahead.

Hi,

Utilising a context 'Closed List' is a good way to generate your daily list. The only slight problem I found with this option, was forward planning. It does to an extent turn the list into a single list setup. Which can work well enough. But it is difficult to gauge how your list is looking for tomorrow and future days.

After doing a lot of work with MLO on my Pocket PC I connected for a
sync to the desktop.

I had a lot of conflicts.

Because the conflict box defaults to overwrite the device I had to go
into each drop down and change the sync direction.

It would be nice to have a drop down to apply sync direction to all

settings (on the slider), expecting that the most urgent/important
projects (and their associated tasks) would be shown first in the todo

I created a context "Closed List" that I hand-select the items for. Then I just filter by that context. Couldn't new items then go to the in-box, to be assigned to the Closed List for the next day?

I would love to see that implemented - especially with a date-selector
so you can choose whatever dates you want. I've been using DIT for
awhile now, and I've gone back to using a paper-based page-per-view

Hi,

I don't use Outlook myself, but I just gave it a quick whirl and the user defined fields seemed to sync without a problem even without categories enabled. Though I only have Outlook 2003 installed are you using anything later?

What type of Sync are you using 'MLO --> Outlook' or 'MLO <--> Outlook' ?
