This street is the modern constituent of US Federal Business Route 54
(formerly US Federal Route 54).  Head northwest on the route and you'll
eventually meet the New Mexico border.  Rotate the image 180 degrees and
you'll see an overpass for the US Federal Route 54 expressway.
