far. why statistic fools people is beyond my imagination.
* the GDP in 2005 was between 10 trillions
* the increase in GDP, said to be 13 trillions, that is ~~ 30%

Er, somehow the following line that appeared here in my original post
mysteriously vanished in the reply:
Dow when the Democrats gained control of Congress (1/3/07): 12,474
Since it was up in the six-year period that the Republicans were in
control of the House, blaiming the drop on Bush is a non sequitur.

You're right on that. I don't subscribe to any investment boards on
