Subject: Auto Update Problem
Running XP Media Centre Edition

Auto Update stops and presents a window saying

"Some updates could not be installed" (with no explanation as to why)

The following could not be installed

Cumulative Security Update for ActiveX Killbits for Windows XP (KB950760)
Security Update for Windows XP with Windows Media Format Runtime 9.5
(KB923689)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP (KB950759)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB950762)
Security Update for Windows XP with Windows Media Format Runtime 9.5 and 11
(KB941569)
Update for Windows XP (KB942763)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB951698)
Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - June 2008 (KB890830)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB951376)

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

Rob...

Ignore the title of the KB - Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update,
from Microsoft Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144

Try Method 1, if not then Method 2.
