Good news! I've written a custom page viewer web part which uses the
iFrame tag. It implements the ICellConsumer interface to receive the URL from another web part. Tomorrow I'll check how I can resize the iFrame dynamically as you suggested. Then we can maybe post it on a website because I'm pretty sure other people want to use this instead of the regular page viewer.
