MedStats is a forum for discussion and debate, unlike most other lists which discourage this. You can post a simple question (usually there is more than one answer, but these are then justified helping you to form your own conclusions). The aim is for members of the Group to help each other, and anyone else following the thread (MedStats is visible to non-members).

The following are the rules:

1. No flaming.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming_%28Internet%29 . "Flaming" is often thought of as a personal attack that does not advance the discussion. As such, it can be one posting. This rule is here to protect the innocent: MedStats is open to people of all levels of ability.

2. No advertising, whether for free or not. Referring to a link or recommending a book/software in the context of a thread is OK.

3. No attachments (email MedStats of an attachment's availability and people can contact you direct. Or upload onto MedStats Pages or Files).

4. MedStats uses plain text.

Breaching any of the above rules will invoke a warning. If Rule 1 or 2 is breached on a second occasion, the member will be banned. 

Communication relating to these rules will be by private email, except for breaches of Rules 1 or 2.
