Well I'm still doing the exercises. The other day I said I couldn't
see results and I take that back. Outwardly nothing. But now when I do
the hover (back to 1 min) and the plank I feel the ab contractions
more so then my shoulders. Which means shoulders are getting stronger.
I was able to easily crank out 5 1-arm push ups ... I hadn't been able
to do 1 since 2004! So I'm happy. My neck still feels heavy though.
I just wish I could add outdoor cycling to my regimen. Sue what type
of bike do u hav? I can't even of a bike style like Deborah's.

My bike is like this: http://www.fisherbikes.com/img/bikes/2008/1600x1200/hifi_plus_29.jpg . Mountain bike riding is not for everyone - there's still a chance
of injury, but it's not likely to be traffic-related. I like
twisting my way over impossible-looking terrain while not
'dabbing' (touching a foot), and the exhilaration of the uphill (after
I'm at the top). That hones the sense of balance and the gyration
works the core muscles. I like the outdoor "in the wild" part of it
also.

I want a cruiser or a fixie for running errands around town. I hate
taking my road bikes just for errands...if they get stolen I can't
afford to replace them.

Uh, $740 is a bit much for a "running errands around town" bike, eh?
The Sanibel is more in my price range (not that I'm looking for a bike
for errands - I haven't quite reached that point yet, though I could
get there if I continue to pay close to $80 for a tank of gas).

No, the $740 bike is just fine for running errandsl. The $1600 and
$3500 bikes are a bit much for running around town. Why take the
Porsche when the VW bug will do?

My daughter is really enjoying her Dad's bike right now. We both have
the Hybrid 700C Schwinn Merano bikes. Mine is of course the female
version and his the male version. It's just great for running errands,
running around town, easy trails, good on hills and lightweight.
Retails at around $350. We bought ourshe year and they are still on
the market this year. I just wish I could slow mine down more on some
of the downhill trails as it is pretty fast for cautious sue. I
suppose you can pay a lot more, but this is great for what we are
using it for and even at this price you still need to remove the seat
if you leave it outside as people will steal the seat right off you
bike. Not sure what kind of market there is for just bike seats.
