I also take several pics of the equipment, current values and name
references for future valuations maybe separately for your
beneficiaries to research the values for their own knowledge if they
need to sell them. Hopefully we'll all live long enough to see our
vintage stuff quadruple again in value.
And remember, a will is a dead giveaway...
