Years ago a lawyer told me that photos of your equipment would be sufficient (if serial numbers are missing...) ... also, for some of the seniors here, the same serial number, value, manufacturer info., etc. needs to be listed in you "Will" (or attachment to Will -- which I'm in the process of doing) ... for many of us do own a considerable amount of electronic gear besides guitars and/or any of instruments ...
