What does a Chant do?
A Chant is words or sounds repeated to heighten concentration and energy. A spell which is chanted, will be extremely focused to it's purpose. It is known by many religions of the world that the mere vibration of the collective voice will invoke the powers for their purposes. A wordless chant is used by the Buddhists for balance of the body and spirit. Native Americans use brief verse and drumming during rituals, and even the Catholic church has responsive singing to bring the parish to a collective height with verses relating to the topic of the sermon. These verses often bear certain sounds that are used by many different religions and different beliefs. In all religions in practice, the purpose, rather sung, chanted, hummed or spoken is to concentrate energy from each individual taking part in the ritual into a collective powerful voice and directing it. This is a chant.
