Principles Report Thanking everyone for coming this evening Mrs. LaFalce – here with Mrs. Epstein, internship for Administrator.Open Door Policy – emergency /concern happy to see. Call with any questions or concernsLate Busses. Working on the issue Adhere to Safety standards, doors are locked at 8:50 Drop off front of building Facility was here to review the walkway situation. Mr. Rizato – will keep postedQuestion regarding drop off procedure Question regarding the cupcake policy – trying to avoid in the classrooms. Food allowed in thefaculty lounge or in the APR only. Try to get close to the # in the classroom. Question regarding the Mouse problem – field mice in the building. Eliminate food in classroomhopefully will remove the mice. There is also a Bee problem. Exterminator for mice, no traps. Occasional mice.
Treasurer’s report Budget presented and approved Treasurers report presented – no questionsExplanation of expenditures procedures. Must be approved by Treasurer or President Changing of Bank from M&T to TEG – got approval from members
VP of Membership: Kathy 116 members!!!! Tree in the hallway – as you get membership will get a leaf If you sent in $$ with kids – see Kathy – if not they will be sent with the children. Cards receive discounts Three for Me Program
VP of Committees: Andrea Table with sign ups – looking for volunteers & chairs No volunteers or chair – no program. Environmental club? Question – Mrs. Dean is head of environmental club Science fair – more teachers involved. Reschedule science fair on another night than open house - Mrs. Epstein - start with Mrs. Dean Question regarding amount of people here… Google groups – updated with information
Ideas from the floor – general discussions Gold Paper is a hit! Put PTA LOGO MRS PLAMBECK – WILL GET TEACHERS TO JOIN Communication – to get the PTA name out! Mrs. Plambeck suggested Monthly newsletter – instead of a million papers – need a chair Email is key. Evites/ facebook -- policy? Question about Fishkill Plains website. It is run by the PTA per Mrs. Epstein Question about Google group.

Alexandra Sullivan – KidzArt afterschool programAfter school art provider – do an afterschool class once a week, elective classFlyers to come home in the next week Drawing based program – fundamentals of media, art etc build on what learning inschool Brought samples of what children have drawn K-5 grade, separated groups k-2, 3 -5 Fundraiser – buy art work on keepsakes upload15% goes the school Gallery show – might need volunteers. Can buy frame art work. $30 – 20% goes toschool Information to follow on after school class 7 – 8 week session. 1 hr per week
