Hello all -
Just to follow up ... since I am a TOTAL tool junkie, I purchased a UPS/line conditioner this weekend.
I have my EMS powered by the unit and it certainly helps with meter drift. It also seems to make the meter more steady as I approach "0", but that might be in my head (I am not sure why this would be true). It could be the "car runs better after an oil change" syndrome.

I just purchased a APC Line-r 600VA with AVR line conditioner on E-bay.
You can look up the specs on the APC web site and do a search on this
model. I purchased it for 39.95 with free shipping. I will post if I see
any difference in meter drift a few days after I get it. Steve you may

Hi Steve,
I've been using a Line Conditioner (and is also an Uninterrupted Power Supply
unit) with each of my machines for some time (one for each machine). And,
therefore, have not experienced much in the way of drift.

Steve, most computer UPS have line conditioning built in. That's what I use
and it makes a real difference.

Does anyone out there have a line conditioner in place for the EMS?

The power in my house (like every house) moves around a bit and this

Static Guard from Walgreens will do the job. It both cleans and adds an antistatic substance to the glass. If you haven't been cleaning it much before, a damp cloth used gently will work and should not remove the original antistatic film.
