Subject: Jumpstart fails
Hi Gurus,
I'm trying jumpstart T2K server and it fails with following error:

{0} ok boot /pci@780/pci@0/pci@1/network@0 -s
Boot device: /pci@780/pci@0/pci@1/network@0  File and args: -s
Manual Configuration: Host IP, boot server and filename must be
specified
ERROR: boot-read fail

I checked the show-nets and watch-nets to make sure the NIC is
connected and has the right MAC address defined in the jumpstart
server.

{0} ok cd /pci@780/pci@0/pci@1/network@0
{0} ok .properties
local-mac-address        00 14 4f 82 41 46
mac-addresses            00 14 4f 82 41 46

grep t2k1 /etc/ethers
00:14:4f:82:41:46               t2k1.domain.com

Jumpstart server is fine.

I did goolging but couldn't find the answer. Any Help is greatly
appreciated.
TIA

This is a shot in the dark, but who knows.

My company purchased 2 T5120's a few months ago, long story short,
BOTH servers had faulty power distribution units (these were brand
spankin' new from Sun). Once Sun replaced the parts...BAMMM, I was
able to jumpstart as I would of expected.

I don't know if this is a new server you are talking about, the T5120
is some what based off the T2000, so I just thought I would share.

I would get the same error you get when I try to jumpstart my T5120's

If it does not help you, I'm sure someone else with a T5120 will have
the same issue as I did.
