Subject: qlogic, fibre channel: hide device
Hi All,

I have a problem with a SAN setup: one StorEdge T3 is shared through a
hub between 2 Sun Blade 1000 attached to the hub via the external FC-
AL port.

The problem is that from each blade 1000 I can see the other blade's
internal drives. That must be because the blade 1000 external FC-AL
connector is linked to the internal disks' loop.

In addition, when I cold boot one of the hosts while the other is up
and running, the other host hangs, loosing connectivity to the
internal drives. This might happen through some sort of bus reset sent
by the booting blade.

Is there a way to protect the internal drives from external access and
interfering, that does not involve the installation of an additional
FC-AL adapter or the purchase of an expensive switch?

Thank you in advance.
Hay
