Failed to install Alpine 2.00
|
| |
Hello, I've got Alpine 1.00 installed on my system, and would like to upgrade to the newer 2.00 version. Downloaded the .DEB package and it would not install because a dependency is not satisfiable: libldap2. Checking the Adept Manager (I run Kubuntu 8.04), I found that this wasn't installed on my system. So, I got it installed. I still can't... more »

HTML Displayed Differently in Alpine 2.00
|
| |
I have noticed that HTML is displayed differently in Alpine 2.00. My example is a simple HTML message that I receive. I like to see the messages in HTML, but noticed a difference after updating to 2.00. A message arrives and it has HTML and text in the message. I notice the problem on what appears to be line breaks. The message *should* read as... more »

Configure Alpine w/ multiple email accounts
|
| |
Hello Folks, I apologize in advance if this question has been answered before. I have searched archives and searched Alpine's website; however, I have not come up with answers. I have multiple email accounts and would like to configure Alpine to fetch/send mail from all of these accounts. Is this possible? Also,... more »

S/MIME chained certificates.
|
| |
Hello, I tried to sign an email with a chained certificate. The normal pem file created from the p12 file contained the CAs in the following order: intermediate ca, root ca, email ca. Alpine refuses to use this certificates. It seems that it does not recognize it as approriate certficate. Moving the email ca to the first... more »

two remote configs
|
| |
Hi, I currently have a remote config on one server, but want to try out if I could put it on another that is possibly less prone to disconnect. Is it possible to have multiple remote configs? (I know that keeping them in sync would be my own responsibility.) Using the S Z does not allow me to create a remote config anymore because I already have one.... more »

Topal and alpine problem
|
| |
Hi, I don't know if this is the correct group to post this, but I have a problem using topal for gpg signing and that in combination with alpine 2.00. Although Alpine actually has nothing to do with the error, I anyway post it here. When I try to sign a message using topal 62, I get the following errors.... more »

I am using Alpine 2.00.... We are trying to set up a LDAP server which is currently in the testing phase. When I try to connect to search with Alpine we receive the following error: [LDAP server failed: Protocol error: historical protocol version requested, use LDAPv3 instead] Is there any way to force Alpine to use LDAPv3 instead of the "historical"... more »

cool feature in alpine 2.0
|
| |
Wow, I like it: With alpine 2.0 I can type a name in the "To:"-field when composing a mail and press <TAB> to search a matching entry in my ldap-addressbook. Cool! Thanks to the developers!

"inbox closed due to access error" message
|
| |
That is the error message that I routinely get. Not a show stopper - I can always reopen the mailbox, but I'm curious if there are settings that manage this. It usually happens after I click cntl-x to send a message. I'm using PC version on a Windows computer. The issue happened in Pine, in Alpine 1 and now in Alpine 2. Again, nothing is lost - it's more an... more »
