I'm most of the way through the throes of getting my main email
account (*not* this one that I post from) shifted over from where it was
to a domain of my own, still hosted by my remote ISP.
Years ago, that kind host did something to make enable-mouse-in-
xterm work, even though I ran the old account (and am running the new)

I think the problem it is looking for older insecure libraries that
are out of date. It has the same issues with centos as well.
You can try compiling on your own machine. I could get past the
configure with no problems but make still fails.
I noticed others can't get 2.0 to work as well and are recommending

AS you have several accounts, you should take a look at:
[link]
These pages are rather dense, but well worth the effort of
exploring!

 Hello,
I've got Alpine 1.00 installed on my system, and would like to upgrade
to the newer 2.00 version. Downloaded the .DEB package and it would
not install because a dependency is not satisfiable: libldap2.
Checking the Adept Manager (I run Kubuntu 8.04), I found that this
wasn't installed on my system. So, I got it installed. I still can't

Got it. Thanks so much for your assistance. However, I do have another
issue. When sending email from Alpine, it _always_ uses
"noo...@noosaj.com" as my email address, when, in fact, I'm using
"j.wil...@noosaj.com" as my email address (and email account). I've
tried searching through Alpine but could not find anywhere to 'force'

I have noticed that HTML is displayed differently in Alpine 2.00. My
example is a simple HTML message that I receive. I like to see the
messages in HTML, but noticed a difference after updating to 2.00.
A message arrives and it has HTML and text in the message. I notice the
problem on what appears to be line breaks. The message *should* read as
