PC Eudora to Mac Eudora
|
| |
I just tried migrating from PC Eudora (with .toc files, etc) to Mac Eudora under MacOS 10.5 - and I can't get any of the suggestions to work. The files were transferred via USB flash drive The Mac version appears to use the resource fork, regardless of whether the "use old style .toc" is checked or not. When I move the... more »

Recover deleted message?
|
| |
...Certainly -- at least until the Trash mailbox is "compacted"; unfortunately, that occurs as soon as you "close" the mailbox :-( In principle, the data area of the file that _was_ the "Trash" mailbox, before compacting (to an empty new file), might now still be in "unallocated" disk space, but the task shifts to "data recovery" forensics,... more »

choose browser
|
| |
The knowledge base says that opt-dbl click on a URL will let me choose which browser to open the document. Option dbl-click does nothing, at least in Leopard. Is there another way to select the browser for Eudora? It seems that Eudora follows whatever html files are set to open with in Get Info.... more »

Have to rebuild 2-3 times
|
| |
Thanks for that, I had to rebuild 2-3 times by removing toc files, but it did work! If you sort by subject, select a few messages then command-shift-delete them, it will screw it up every time. RE: only then does Eudora look for the special initial lines Are the lines just "From ???@???" or is there something else in there?... more »

How does Eudora seperate messages in mailbox file?
|
| |
Since the upgrade to 10.5, my mailboxes have gotten all screwed up. Well actually the display has. The messages in the mailboxes seem ok. But when opening mail, sometimes, instead of showing the complete message, it shows parts of the previous message first. Looking at the file with bbedit, the messages seem intact. So how does... more »

'Couldn't Read Your Settings' error & jumbled mailboxes
|
| |
Eudora 6.2.4 After I upgraded to 10.5, Eudora started jumbling up mailboxes e.g. open a message and it has parts of previous emails in it. Instead of the headers of the selected message at the top, pieces of other mails are there instead. It's hard to explain. Mostly it's alot of html codes that's in other emails.... more »

Where does Eudora store its UIDs?
|
| |
I'm testing some software and want to be able to keep getting the same mail item from the server. But Eudora doesn't seem to let me - it knows it's already got it! How can I defeat this without throwing away the Eudora Folder and starting from scratch (tedious)? Its in a file somewhere, presumably.... more »
