I hear the tools are pretty easy, and if you can use Xcode and Cocoa you are
all set, it seems. I plan to fool around with it more when 2.0 comes out
though, so don't take my word for it yet.

Your router or the card in the computer? I'm not familiar with
Westell, except I've heard Verizon gives away their routers with DSL.

I've had no problems yet running 10.5.2 on my Airport Express.
Just order Time Capsule and will keep the Group posted.

Unfortunately, 10.5 suffers from a slew of airport problems. These
seem to have been mostly fixed (from what I have heard) for 10.5.2
with the recent Airport Update thingy (check Software Update), but I
can't verify myself, as I never had any problems, using Airport on
both a new iMac and an iBook G4 quite regularly.

Clarkson MUG,
I just installed 10.5 in my Powerbook G4 (1.67 GHz).
So far I can't see much difference from 10.4 to 10.5 -- Not like 10.3 to 10.4.
I cannot get my airport to work at home. It sees the network, but I
get a timeout. I am the admin on the DSL pouter (Four 100 MHz
ethernet ports, plus 102.11g), and have tried all manner of router

good bit) was asking if Final Cut Express is worth the $99. Having
never used it, I really can't say.

Active Directory

Has anyone gotten the macs to work with the new active directory system
on campus? I know you need to fool around with the application
"Directory Access.app", but I haven't gotten much farther than that. I
also know that the campus system will only accept NTLMv2 security.
