it is with heavy heart (but with a sigh of relief) that I announce the postponement of BarCampCanberra. With no confirmed venue (long story) we've decided to postpone until April - most likely the week after Easter (which will make it 14-15 April), TBC, we are hoping to still coincide with some of the other BarCamps happening around the world - I note that there is at least one other Camp on that weekend (in Italy).
As time allows over the next little while we'll update the blog, barcamp.orgwiki, and other mailing lists. All going well we'll have a venue confirmed within the next week or so.
The good news is... some of us will now be coming to Sydney :) If there are any other Canberrans on this list that are going to Sydney and are interested in carpooling, please get in touch with me.
its tricky wrangle gluck for april and great that some folks will be heading north for the syd event we are hoping to have bandwidth now basically a work in progress but moana surf life saving club is up for a barter on adsl setup and wireless access for the weekend so w00t. hoping to keep in touch with you all for the event cheers janet
is anyone else from Canberra that is on this list going up to BarCampSydney on Saturday? I've had an enquiry about carpooling from one of the people going up.

BarCampCanberra lives! We have a venue at last, and a date: 19 April 2008 CSIT building, ANU, Canberra <Whenever we can get people out of bed/> until 5PM then dinner.
More details to come when we have figured them out :)
