Subject: Example, MVC, AS3
Hi everybody,

I am looking for a Flash framework to develop a GUI frontend for a
database-driven internet application. I have done some Flash
programming but as I require a good GUI and remoting support for this
project, I want to use a solid framework. After some investigation, I
feel that Fever looks more than promising and I want to start coding
with it!

I would be very glad to get some hints as to:

- Does fever (or aswing) support some sort of MVC architecture? I have
been using Cocoa/OpenStep and love the way how you bind data to a
controller and the controller to a view. I will need something like
this as my data will change.

- Is there some more documentation/example code available?

Thanks for any hints in advance!
Kaspar

Hi Kaspar ;)

Indeed Fever can be a good choice for your development.
Why ?

- 1. You need a good GUI Framework
FvAswing ( Fever extension ) is based on AsWing GUI framework.
Many core components and many extension in FvAsWing to deploy complex GUI.

- 2. Remoting needed ?
Fever is based on incredible Pixlib framework, so you can easy use the full
Pixlib remoting package to play with remote process.
Powerfull and really simple to deploy.

- 3. Need MVC Architecture
Again you can use the MVC Pattern available in Pixlib.

As you can see, Pixlib is most used in Model and Data side.
AsWing and FvAsWing for GUI side.
Fever extends those frameworks with some good tips ;)

You can take a look at Pixlib sites or mailiing list to see MVC and remoting
explanations.

Cheers,
Romain
