I like the calm, coolness of Cito behind the bench. The confidence of Gene
Tenace as well.

Anyone else?

It's easy to be calm when you're up 10 runs.

Cito does command respect and has an air of class, something JP sorely
lacks. But it's still Ricardi's team and as long as this guy helms the
ship the Jays will miss the post season boat.

My question is, with Gillick leaving Philly at the end of the year
will Godfrey make a big play for him too?

Like some else is it's much easier to manage when your up by ten and
knock the starter out early.

  Imho again,it's a smoke and
mirrors shell game to keep the gate
receipts flowing,jp runs the jays like
pt. barnum, there is a sucker born every
minute..or was that wc fields no matter
it applies here.

Spruce op the cement pit with some
shiny techno gear. Then there was the trendy new uni's and those ugly
blue
clown shirt flash back uni's.
Can anybody say merchandise grab?

Jp is handed wads of cash a couple of
years back, walks into the winter meetings
and said who's the most expensive with
the  least talent,potential,and track record
I'll take one of each.money is no object or
sense.

   The word underachieve becomes jp's
new buzz word, and he sheds the team
of anybody who expresses negative vibes
or makes comments on his attire.

They blow millions on a has been dh,
but hall of famer no doubt, again the
value of frank hitting his 500th in a jays
uni...now you stink and have no more
fan appeal.
Wonder how much it cost the sponsors to
ditch those frank thomas bobble heads in favor of recycled garbage bags
hydro
one recycled from waste at bruce nuclear.

Maybe they just melted em down?
Bet godfrey got one of his old political crones to work a little deal
there.no doubt
at the expense of the tax payer,to boot.

Matches the new recycled look of the
new coaching staff, don't get me wrong
I admire cito and crew,But it's apparent
cito is like a sheep herder who lost his
sheep,so far he looks like a deer in the
headlights.

Lets remember when cito took over, from
my hands are glued to my waist band
jimmy williams,much like gibby's where
tied to jp's ever present apron springs.
He was already with the team for a number of years and an err apparent
to
cox,but was passed over in favor of
williams. For who knows what and why?

I hope things work out for the team and
the franchise, but as long as the dynamic
duo of slick and slippery, run things from
the top.It don't look good.

Just for shits and giggles can anyone name the most winning manager and
who his gm over the last decade,no fare looking it up if your an honest
to goodness jays fan  : > )   you should know.??             (most wins
in a complete season as manager){hint he finsihed the season
88-74}

more on jp>
Is this guy for real or what and does he
he ever think before he opens his mouth;
he is a disgrace to the jays and mlb;

Before the Reds played at Toronto Tuesday, Ricciardi said he had taken a
call from Dunn on Saturday and apologized for starting the furor. Asked
later about the call, Dunn denied it had taken place.

"If he said he talked to me, it's a lie," Dunn said.

Ricciardi believes he may have been the victim of a prank.

"I got a call from someone who identified himself as Adam Dunn,"
Ricciardi said.

"It's extremely disappointing if that's not an accurate phone call. I
apologized to the person on the phone.

(ya and i got an email from someone who
said i won ten billion dollars and it would
only cost me a million to get it)

"what the fucks wrong with going down to
the field before the game and the fans get
in and walk over and offer your hand.look
the guy in the face and say your sorry!!??
instead jp just puts another spin of controversy on it."Trying to
portray he his
the better man...yaokwhatever.

Who in thier right mind would figure a guy
would call you so you could apologise to
him over the phone, after you trash him on
a live brodcast,It was probably gibby after
he polished off his third fifth of jd,or maybe ernie?I'd like to know
how dun got
jp's private number if jp could not seem to
get his???

Well although it was a nice comeback
tonight,citos hesitation to pull doc,showed
a clear lack of da rusties.granted doc had
held the fort, but it did not take a genius to
say he was labouring. Those kind of moves show cracks in the armor to the
competition.Imho doc was used early in
the year the same way,far to many inn.
with losing outcomes.these one game
losses are killing them mentally and
physically for sure.

Sure you want doc to get his wins,he is
an ace no doubt, but he is showing signs
of wear like dave stieb did,in the end.

I think resting doc in a game before the
break would be good for him and the team.

I am gona rag on rios again,he showed some signs in the last couple of
games
but after he hit a fat mistake by bronson
he was back swinging for the fences.every
pitcher in the bigs on to him,so they pitch
him low and away.He needs badly to adjust or he is toast.Right now all
they
have to do is put a guy semi deep in
right field and wait for the ball.I'd like
to have 10 bucks for every ball he has
hit foul down the right side this season.
He did actually hit one up the middle tonight, think the reds where just
as
surprised as alex was.

If a mere mortal such as myself can see
that surely the new hitting coach can to,but alex seems to be a tad on
the
stubborn side and who can blame him
he is set for life.

But perhaps taking somebody like
alex and sending him down for a couple of
weeks away from the big show before
the allstar break would give some of
these guys a wake up call.Much as
I hate to agree with bk,it seems to
work for the tigers who looked destined
to be a write off, after all the expectations
and all that money. If the jays are not at .500 or more before the
break, they may as well kiss any chance at post season,if that is so I
think jp is gone,to bad it had to take this and to bad at the expense of
the hopeful fans.

Maybe we are asking to much of the jays,
after all how many others teams in the
the majors can boast such success over
just a short time .Or maybe not enough
how many other teams of the in ale
east would put up with such bull shit
as fans from  godfrey and pinocio and
his ever growing nose.

Try that shit in boston or ny,and your,
walking papers are at the door.
I can't remember so many so called top
flight teams and supposed contenders
having heads roll so early on,I'd hate
to think the absence of steroids in the
game had that much effect.

Look what the M's did ??There season is
all but a wash. But to there credit, they did
not waste anytime doing it.

I do like what cito did with the lineup.notice the absence of the
supposed
crack lead off eckstiene lately and using
scooter at short and lead off.And giving
lind and inglet more use.I would not
surprise me to see rolen or overbay sit
a spell or three when hill returns.

I am just getting more than a little tired
of watching x jays shine one high light
reels, and x jays players embarrass the
team over and over again,at first I thought
it was just fluke especially hinske early
one with the rays, who still looks cheerios
is not his breakfast of choice,>

But lately it has been all most on a daily
basis ever since they played the cubs.

I look for the rays and the cubs to square
off in the ws,now there's a couple of cindy
stories for you and mlb loves those.
Advantage cubs if they get home field
it can be cold, damp, and as billed windy
in chi town in october. Two clubs coached
by sweet lou, hill be in his pompous glory,
sign a fat contract with fox sports, and
make a perfect curly, for moe and larry
