You may want to consider staying home and watching the highland games or something more entertaining than the jays.
You should not have trouble getting tickets for the baltimore series don't get sucked in to scalpers who must be going hungry these days in TO.
As for a bar,if you want to pay more than 10 bucks for a beer and another 20 for some broiled seagull wings.
Thats up to you?
Save yourself some money and possible food poisoning, bring a couple of cases of keiths and party with your kin.Much more fun and safer to.And if you bring some fresh seafood let me know ; > )
Can you still get cod tongues down home?Beats anything they serve in the snot nose, high priced bistros in TO.
You are sounding more like me every day! Hahahaha. Great post.
Seriously East Coaster, he's right though...all places around Rogers Centre are either horrible and/or overpriced. For example, The Loose Moose serves a pint of Keith's for 8 dollars and a pound of wings for 13. The wings are the greasiest, grossest, foulest wings I have ever eaten. Downtown Toronto is ridiculously overpriced.
BUT...If you want to go to a moderately priced place try Crocodile Rock (www.crocrock.ca). Bottled beers are 3.75, mixed drinks are 2.75 and the wings are surprisingly good and half priced on Thursdays! The place us reknowned as a pickup joint so if you want to get lucky maybe head there after the game as well.
It's not next door to the RC, but then again it's not far enough to have to cab it. Other alternatives are Casey's or Jack Astor's on Front just down the street from RC. But they both get busy with the after work pretentious knobs and are also rather expensive. However, the wings at Casey's are very good. I would choose Casey's of the two, but would definitely do the Crock Rock. I forgot to mention they have an outside patio that's at the top of the building as well.

You are fed up with Jays as I was earlier in year. But don't ruin the guys trip. Wasn't it you Bush that scolded me for not being a true fan? But I agree about Toronto prices at bars and restaurants around RC. Talk about scaring tourists away.

OK,,,just got back from TO and had a hell of a time. I got to go to Tues and Thurs games. Both were come from behind wins so it was great. Had the tour of the Dome and it was very interesting. For thurs game I got lucky with a scalper about 30 min before game with HSBC VIP ticks in sec 227..(30.00 ea)..best time in my life. we did find a nice place to eat around the RC...place called St Louis? good food and very reasonable.
