Sure seems like it. He is a FA after the season. But then again, so is GA.
There are rumors circulating that the Braves and Dodgers are interested in
acquiring Rivera.

It's possible, I guess.  My original thinking was that Scioscia just
decided that it was stupid to continue to roll out the same 4
outfielders after 4 games of 2 total runs.  He had to do something and
so he started Rivera for, what I believe was, only the 4th time this
year.  Quite ironic since many of us thought he was the missing
offensive link last year.

Teams don't showcase any more.  There's way too much data available for other
teams to need a "showcase."  The Angels aren't going to diminish their lineup
just to put someone on the field for other teams to see who already know what
they need to know.

Yeah, but do they know if the leg is really healthy enough to play on a
regular basis? Because I really don't want to see Rivera leave knowing
there's a chance that GA won't return. Especially with the way that GMJ is
hitting.

Teams are required to share medical information before a trade.  Deals have been
voided by the Commissioner's office in the past when not all medical information
was available.

Furthermore, a player can only go on the disabled list after a team files a
medical report with the Commissioner documenting the nature of the injury.

There are no secrets in baseball any more.

What would the Angels trade for? I have mixed feelings about trading
Rivera. The positive is that the Angels would most likely get some
decent prospects. The negative is that the Angels won't be able to rely
on a decent pitch hitter for the remainder of the season and the
possible playoffs.

The biggest rumor I've heard is Matt Holliday.

Just found another (really vague) rumor:

.html>

This one involves Lance Berkman and Kotchman.
