Besides the last game against the A's yesterday. I was watching the the end
of the Rays/Red Boxs series on ESPN. It was worth noting that some of the
Rays' fans had blooms sweeping it around. They got their wish as the Rays
sweep the Red Soxs & lead the AL East by 3 1/2 games. I almost laughed at
that player who tried (& failed) to steal 2nd base in the 9th. I really
don't want to see the Red Box anywhere in the playoffs this year. Am I wrong
in thinking this?

Yes.

But at least if things hold as they generally have this year - if they
continue their trend - the Yankees will go fishing after Oct. 1. Which
makes my heart sing with gladness.
