from where I sit, the most impressive improvement is not in wins and
losses; it is that the team has not been blown out very many times.
I doubt that we will ever see another 30-3 disaster in our lifetimes,
and this year, we arent likely to see the O's on the short end of many
18-5 or 16-2 pastings, and if we do, it likely won't signal a 4-28
skid.
Wonder if they will trade any of their more valuable players for more
prospects - does Roberts have his bags packed for Chicago? Will Payton give
the D-backs a reliable bat for the stretch? Will the fans wear Sherrill
shirts if he comes to the yards as a Red Soxer??? Perhaps the O's think
that Wieters can play here next season, and they can afford to send
Ramon Hernandez up to Philly, which could certainly stand to upgrade its
catching... Stay tuned. The roster, and the club chemistry, are due for
a shakeup!
