Subject: According to Pete Van Weiren...
                         The Beat Goes On

The beat goes on, the beat goes on.
The Chop keeps pounding a rhythm to the brain.
La de da de de, la de da de da.

Maddux and Glavine was once the rage, uh huh.
But history has turned the page, uh huh.
The rookies were once the current thing, uh huh.
The Braves may never get another ring, uh huh.

And the beat goes on, the beat goes on.
The Chop keeps pounding a rhythm to the brain.
La de da de de, la de da de da.

The Professor think's he's real smart, uh huh.
The Braves keep breaking their fan's hearts, uh huh.
And all the Braves player's are really sore.
Electronically they keep a baseball score.

And the beat goes on, the beat goes on.
The Chop keeps pounding a rhythm to the brain.
La de da de de, la de da de da.

            Braves announcers sit and reminisce,
about all the championships they would miss.
The players keep coming and going all the time.
Braves fans still cry "This team ain't worth a dime".

And the beat goes on, the beat goes on.
The Chop keeps pounding a rhythm to what's left of the brain.
La de da de de, la de da de da
