Subject: trimble question
hi

i just   got  a   trimble pathfinder basic plus,   i was hoping to find
a  online manual someplace via google  or   trimble   but no luck

anyone know  where i might  find  one??

i have it plugged into a  ext antenna  one of the screans  said  ext ant
(seemed to switch  byitself)    but  the coordinates   don't change  not
sure how long i should have waited   or  what  might have given me  an
indication  that it was even  seeing the birds

clock seems  ok  but i presume  it's just  running internally

the person that used  it last   had to be  3000mi away

thanks  any help apppreciated

 From Trimble's website
   http://www.trimble.com/support.shtml

This product [Pathfinder Basic Plus] is not Y2K compliant and is no
longer supported. Please see our latest products, or contact your
   local Trimble representative.

hi sam

not  really sure  the  point of your post

i already stated in my post   it  wasn't avail via the trimble site
and  i don't need  to know  where  it's not

just looking  to see if  someone might  ether know of  a  site  w/the
manual  or  have  some  simple  set up  instructions

it was a pretty popular unit  in the day,  so  hoping somone might have
some useful  info

thanks

maybe he's pointing out that as the devise you have isn't y2k compliant,
hence should have stopped working 8 years ago, maybe that's why you can find
no info on it, and why it dosent see any birds or owt.

it may have been a popular unit in the day, but it's older than a tramps y
fronts now, that's the problem with electronic gadgets, 2 months after
buying it new, your expected to buy a newer version that's so much better
that you will throw the old one out.

thanks Gazz   appreciate   the  responce, i was  of course  aware it's
old  and not y2k,   but my presumption, perhaps incorrect  was that
while perhaps  there wasn't  any 'new  software/updates etc'  i should
still be able to find  an old manual   someplace

my other presumption was that  i thought it would still   find  some
birds with existing  software     but  i recon  i that   w/o being  2k
complient   it won't  'do anything'

thanks
