Subject: PICKET? IAS event at shrine auditorium, Nov 1

the IAS anniversary is held this year at shrine auditorium, in los
angeles.  this is located conveniently, cedars and the celebrity
center are within reasonable travelling distance, so any "extra"
pickets, or even a picketing of all three locations, is easily
possible within a busy day.

however i'm on the other side of the country, i can't plan or attend
such an event.  considering the violence of the clams at cedars,
picketing this location, while potentially hazardous, is a sure way to
show them that they are not master of their own domain, and that the
vandalism of spray-painting picket signs will not be successful.  i
suggest picket signs from "The Code of the Scientologist" which says
scientologists must protect free speech.  i also suggest, if anyone
can get post-it note glue, that multiple signs can be affixed to each
picket and ripped off if vandalized.

i believe that pickets are legal protest, and that spray-painting
picket signs is basic thuggery and vandalism, and should not only not
be tolerated, but indeed actively punished, and if possible,
poetically punished.

the floor plans for shrine auditorium are available at

for those of a strategic bent inclined to think spatially.

"The International Association of Scientologists Anniversary is  held
at a different host city each year, members of the IAS gather to
commemorate the founding of the IAS and to rededicate themselves to
its aims. The annual IAS freedom awards are presented. This event
coincides with the annual convention of IAS delegates."

This year it's at the famous Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles,
Saturday, November 1st.  This is a fun event.  I go each year.  Hope
to see many of you there!"
