At least ten of these today, with no syntactically valid e-mail address in the From: header. Either it's the beginning of a new attempt at flooding, or someone's trying to get people to killfile Zippo (which would be a Very Bad Thing, since many real a.r.s. folks post from there, like me).
This isn't yet net-abuse, but it's starting to head in that direction, based on my experience with past events in a.r.s.
Does Zippo's news server always ad an "NNTP-Posting-Host" on its own domain of newsdawg.com? None of these NNTP-Posting-Host's, including the one on your complaints posting, resolves to an IP number.
====== Due to the large ammount of unsolicited bulk email I receive, I have been forced to institute a $20/piece evaluation fee. Send me UBE to accept these terms.
This contract shall be enforceable under the laws of California.

Ron,
I think y'all are making a mountain out of a molehill. I believe zippo has a pretty complex networked system and the nntp-posting-host identifies one of the systems, nothing more sinister than that.

How very footbulletish of the alleged scientologist to abuse his account so blatantly.

Right, Zane; that header is seen in critics who post to ars as well:

And from our very own Warrior:
From: Warrior <warr...@electrotex.com> Organization: Sunshine disinfects Message-ID: <638ms1$...@drn.zippo.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: p-909.newsdawg.com ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I note that many posts from Zippo by critics have a numerical NNTP address, while all the clam posts have the newsdawg one. Coincidence? I suspect these are all from one clam trying to make himself out to be a group; group consensus, manufactured and ready-made.

I guess this is as close as we will get to an admission that the Multiple Personalities recently posting are Co$ operatives.
