DPSS threshold pump power: calculate or estimate
|
| |
Hello everyone. I have some problem about threshold pump power for my 532 nm DPSS laser, I hope to have your help or guidance. Here are some of my toys: - Nd:YAG rod phi3*5mm, 1% doped, coating AR 1064 and 808 on both side; - Nd:YVO4 3*3*12mm, doped 0.27%, coating AR 1064 and 808 on both side - A plano-concave mirror R=99,8% at 1064 and 532nm, R<5% at 808nm... more »

Laser ventilation with multiplexers for mass products
|
| |
Electrostatic perforation has been used since 30 years for ventilation of non filter, RYO or filter cigarettes to create a directed and guided air bypass or Lindstroem principle. For this purpose, cigarette paper for some non filter or RYO cigarettes and almost every kind of filter cigarettes tipping papers are perforated electro statically... more »

Manual for Laser Photnics YQL-102?
|
| |
This is a pulsed YAG, sort of an SSY1 on steroids (at least in terms of the power supply). The pulse rate can be up to 20 pps with a fixed energy somewhere between 100 and 200 mJ/pulse. It has an active EO Q-switch and liquid cooling. But the one I have seems to be doing much less energy. A reasonably lively... more »

Red light from 808nm laser diode
|
| |
Hello everyone, I have a green laser pointer, and when I dismantled it, I see a laser diode. What surprised me is the strip of red light from it. To my knowledge 808nm laser diode has linewidth of about 3nm, that mean its light is totally in infra-red region, invisible to human. Or it is the light of a signal red diode? (I can see only a very small golden scale... more »

Thermal conductive glue or cream for Nd:YAG, KTP and Nd:YVO4
|
| |
Hello everyone, I'm currently working on green DPSS laser with Nd:YAG ()phi3*5mm) crystal and KTP (3*3*5), Nd:YVO4. I'm currently having thermal conductive compounds (cream) such as Artic Silver 5 cream, Star cream (made in China), thermal conductive silicon cream (used for electronic circuit). I intend to use these... more »

Coherent CR2 Supergraphite info needed
|
| |
Hi, I have an old Coherent CR2 supergraphite Argon laser with 3 phase PSU. Have anybody any information from this laser or a schematics? I don't have 3 phase in my house, but if it possible I want to try operate from 1 phase, of curse lower power... The main transformer has a lot of unused tap, I think it can be configured for lower line... more »

Beamsplitter for 20 watt 808nm diode laser
|
| |
Hello, I'm about to purchase a reasonably high powered diode laser (up to 40 watts, but I dont need to decimate anything above 15-20 watts) and I need to attenuate the beam. I'm looking to decimate at least 4 dB, 10 is probably the upper boundary. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I can find a low cost beam splitter for this? What kind of beam... more »

Incomplete Nd:YAG? Should I try to buy it?
|
| |
Hi, I may have the possibility to buy this Nd:YAG cheap, it is without chiller and powersupply but has a new lamp. It says "180W CW/35mJ on the label" and is said to be from Spectron Laser Systems (now owned by GSI Lumonics). It includes a marking head and motorized focus optics that should be usable for something even if I can't get the laser to work.... more »
