Hi, I tried to find six colors of blue starting with 1. darkblue 2. lighter than darkblue 3. lighter than line 2 etc. I bought Pantone for that purpose and never really succeed to have six distinct colors that I can print with an epson printer. Illustrator CS3: the black in my swatch is *not* pure black!!!

In my default color swatch palette, the 'black' is not actually black, but r35 g31 b32. has anyone else noticed this or is it just my version? this *totally* screws me up, i need *pure* black for my illustrations. i know if i double-click on it i can change it, but when i open a new document it goes back to r35 g31 b32. does anyone... more »
