The writing drive has the secondary ide all to itself.  The reading drive is slave to the hard drive on primary
ide. Maybe I dont understand what you mean by "channel."  If primary and secondary is not what you mean by
"channel" ,  then I don't.   Please elaborate.  Thanks.
